British Throwbacks

UK · Jul 28

Call me old fashioned but two things I love when it comes to music. Listening to an album all the way through, and listening to music on local radio stations. Something about the Spotify Discover weekly is just too curated… I generally like all the songs or at least I like the sound of all the songs I guess? Sometimes it’s nice to listen to something that just sounds weird or off or bad or… just different.

Anyhow, here’s a selection of songs that I’ve heard on the radio quite a bit since moving to the UK. I know some of these made it over to the US but given most of these came from the 80s I must have missed them.

Madness - House of Fun

The Jam - In The City

Band Aid - Do They Know It’s Christmas? (lord help me, I hate this song)

Culture Club - Do You Really Want To Hurt Me

The Communards - Don’t Leave Me This Way

Duran Duran - The Wild Boys

The Specials - Ghost Town
